Over 100 years ago, our founder, Dr. Otto Buchinger, treated his first patients with the therapeutic fasting method he had developed. Many years have passed since then and numerous happy, satisfied and returning patients have fasted with us. We have so far supported over 250,000 people in total fasting at our clinics in Überlingen and Marbella.
Building on this unique wealth of experience and a large number of scientific studies and publications, we have developed a fasting programme for you – incorporating the latest developments in research. In other words: The daily caloric intake is higher than with fasting in our clinic – as a result, you can easily handle your various day-to-day requirements despite the adjustment in your metabolism.
As the plant-based foods that the box contains are very low in calories and carbohydrates but high in fats, with some proteins, your body will still enter ketosis – one of the desired effects of »fasting metabolism«. Ketosis is a metabolic state that can encourage the regeneration of the body‘s cells.
